The school organized a fantastic picnic on 5.2.24 to Oh!Max Dream World Theme Park for the students of class I

,providing our young learners with the opportunity to explore the wonders of the park.

Magical Science Activity was organized for the students of class I on 20th December and 22nd December.

 

FOLD N CREATE  CLASS I

An Origami Competition was conducted for the students of class I on 30th November 2023. The little hands came up with some amazing creations, The paper folding craft was not only a fun filled experience, but it also proved to be a valuable means to develop artistic skill in the young learners.

 

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION THEME: SAVE ENVIRONMENT

A Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the students of Class I on 2nd August 2023 on the topic-Save Environment .The young speakers were dressed in vibrant costumes to depict the theme and spoke about the character they depicted.  The competition proved to be a great learning experience and provided the students  a platform to explore their hidden talents.

 

EXCURSION CLASS I

An excursion to Nehru Planetarium and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya was organized for the students of class I on 1st December 2023.The students first watched the  2D show in the sky-dome theater.

It was  an informative and interesting show as the young minds learnt many amazing facts about the solar system.The excited students then visited the unique museum where they were briefed about the lives of our former prime ministers and their contribution for the nation.It was a highly knowledgeable and fruitful learning experience for the young learners.

 

 

INDEPENDENCE  DAY​

 

CROWN DESIGNING ACTIVITY CLASS I​

A Crown Designing Activity was organized on 12th May 2023 for the students of class I to celebrate Mother’s Day.The budding artists coloured and decorated crowns for their beloved mothers.

 

 

GIFT WRAPPING ACTIVITY CLASS I

A Gift Wrapping Activity was organized for the students of class I on 29th October 2023.

 

BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION CLASS II

ABest Out Of Waste Competition” was organized for the students of class ll in their respective classes on 21st July, 2023. The competition focused on bringing an understanding among the children about preserving the environment by reusing and recycling waste material. Creative ideas were demonstrated using materials like newspapers, old CD’s, plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks etc.

The school celebrated English Week – ‘Reflections,’ from 26th  September to 29th September 2023, with a range of activities designed to foster linguistic proficiency and ignite creativity among the students of classes IX to XI.

On September 26th, an Intra-Class Declamation contest was organised which centered around the theme of Inclusive Development. The participants showcased their oratory skills and critical thinking abilities by addressing relevant issues related to societal progress and inclusivity. The judges were impressed by the enthusiasm and conviction of our young orators.

On September 27th, an Inter-House competition called ‘Talkspire’ was held to enhance students’ speaking skills. Students from different houses eloquently expressed their views on various topics, demonstrating their proficiency in the art of public speaking.

The concluding day, September 29th, saw the literary club organizing a global activity. Students in classes VI to VIII composed their poems, while students in classes IX and XI wrote blogs and articles on assigned topics. The Academic Director and the Headmistress commended the English Department for their efforts and congratulated the students on their outstanding performances.

हिंदी सप्ताह प्रतिवेदन

करते हैं तन-मन से वंदन, जन-गण-मन की अभिलाषा का
अभिनंदन अपनी संस्कृति का, आराधन अपनी भाषा का।

     हिंदी हमारे सम्मान, स्वाभिमान व गर्व की भाषा है| हिंदी भाषा को सुदृढ़ करने हेतु विद्यालय में ‘अरुणिमा’ हिंदी सप्ताह मनाया गयाl जिसमें विविध गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया l वैश्विक गतिविधि के अंतर्गत कक्षा-’छठी से दसवीं’ हेतु ‘निबंध लेखन’ व कक्षा- ‘तीसरी से पाँचवीं’ हेतु ‘कहानी लेखन’ का आयोजन किया गया l कक्षा छठी से आठवीं के लिए ‘शब्दों का सामर्थ्य’ तथा ‘तीसरी से पाँचवीं’ के लिए ‘वर्णों का वर्चस्व’ व्याकरणिक विषयों पर आधारित गतिविधि में विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया l कक्षा तीसरी से दसवीं के लिए आयोजित अंतर-सदनीय ‘कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता’ में सभी प्रतिभागियों ने अपनी अभिव्यक्ति और सौंदर्य-अनुभूति  से श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।

शब्दों का सामर्थ्य

हिंदी सप्ताह समारोह ‘अरुणिमा’ के अंतर्गत २७ जुलाई २०२३ को कक्षा-छठी से आठवीं में व्याकरणिक विषयों पर आधारित गतिविधि ‘शब्दों का सामर्थ्य’ का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें छात्रों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर भाग लिया| 

यह गतिविधि शब्द भंडार में वृद्धि, शब्दों के उपयुक्त प्रयोग के साथ-साथ तार्किकता को सशक्त करने का एक उत्तम माध्यम है। इस गतिविधि में विद्यार्थियों  ने बड़े उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया।

निदेशिका महोदया द्वारा विद्यार्थियों का उत्साहवर्धन व  मार्गदर्शन भी किया गया | 

निबंध लेखन 

हिंदी सप्ताह के प्रथम दिन; २६ जुलाई, २०२३ को कक्षा छठी से दसवीं के लिए ‘निबंध लेखन गतिविधि’ आयोजित की गई थी। 

निबंध लेखन गतिविधि छात्रों के लिए सुगठित,संक्षिप्त एवं प्रभावपूर्ण विचार व्यक्त करने का एक श्रेष्ठ माध्यम था, जिसमें छात्रों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।

‘अनुभूति’ कविता पाठ प्रतियोगिता

“कविता में सौंदर्य तथा भावना की सहज अभिव्यक्ति होती है|”

28 जुलाई, 2023 को भाई परमानंद विद्या मंदिर स्कूल में एक अंतर-सदनीय कविता पाठ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। छठी से दसवीं कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया| इसमें उन्हें अपनी प्रतिभा और आत्मविश्वास प्रदर्शित करने का सुनहरा अवसर मिला। चारों सदनों के प्रतिभागियों ने कविता पाठ करते हुए अपनी अभिव्यक्ति और सौंदर्य-अनुभूति से श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।

CLASS  I   FUN WITH MATHEMATICS

Maths Week was organized for the students of class I to enhance their confidence to solve mathematical problems. The students were engaged in an outdoor ladder game on 20th December 2023 based on the topic Ordinal Numbers and Months of the year. The students jumped on the correct ladder after following the teacher’s instruction.The students enthusiastically participated in the  activity .

 
CLASS II
Fun With Mathematical Operations   
  “ Activity is the only road to knowledge”.

Keeping this in view and as a part of the Maths Week in our school, an intra–class activity was organized for the students of class ll on 21st December, 2023 fostering the creativity and capabilities of the students in Maths calculation. The activity was a quiz that was played in the class by using different operations.The students in the groups had to do calculations and find out the correct answer for the same .

 
CLASSES  III to V

Explore Mathematics with Snakes and Ladders” was an engaging activity conducted during Maths Week. Students participated in a game where they tackled Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions, covering a range of mathematical concepts learned.

Students actively participated in the Snake and Ladders game, showcasing their ability to apply mathematical concepts in a fun and competitive environment. The game effectively reinforced mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, and strategic thinking, as students made calculated moves to progress on the board.

 
CLASSES  VI to VIII

In “Math-o-Mania” , students collaboratively engaged in team-based learning, pooling their mathematical prowess to explore and present a chosen topic.

Each team selected a specific mathematical concept delving into research and analysis to deepen their understanding. This collaborative exploration not only strengthened their individual mathematical skills but also promoted teamwork and effective communication.

 
CLASSES   IX & XI

In the event, students prepared a powerpoint presentation to explain the role of Mathematics in

  • Medical Field
  • Sustainable Development Goals.

The class was divided into groups of 6 students. Each group has chosen one of the topics and delivered their content.

Tagore house won the quiz whereas Shankaracharya house and Aryabhatta house were the first and second runners up.

Education is not only learning facts but training of minds to think. When we are having a good time, learning becomes easy and not a strenuous task. To make learning a joyous experience, Social Studies Week was observed in our school in the month of January for classes IV to IX. 

The classroom became a hive of active learning with ardent students participating in an array of activities undertaken for classes IV-IX.

The details of the activities are as follows:

 

ACTIVITY 1 –  ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT (29th January, 2024)

All students participated in the quiz and showed how aware they are of their national geographical heritage.

 

ACTIVITY 2 – MINDWARS (30th January, 2024)

Interesting Quiz sessions were conducted for classes VII-IX, wherein their knowledge was put to test. It was a way to demonstrate how the learning of social science can be enjoyable, exploratory and enabled the students to think critically and apply what they have learned so far. 

 

ACTIVITY 3 – Global Pavilion (31st Jan-2nd Feb., 2024)

An Exhibition was organized on different burning topics:

V – Forms of Government 

VI – Indices and Rankings of different countries

VII – Political Parties of the world

VIII – Comparison between the countries on the basis of  Resources

IX – Innovation Hub, Climate Change and Water Resources Management 

 

The success of week marked how Social Studies can help in raising the awareness of students about issues related to their daily lives as well as the vast diversity of the world. It is important that today’s child must embrace this diversity so as to make this world a better place to live in.

 

SCIENCE WEEK

SCIENCE WEEK LUMINESCENCE

Hands-on activities help to develop cognitive and psychomotor skills of the children.

As a part of science  week , activities were planned for the students and the theme was   “LUMINESCENCE

” .These activities helped the students to explore , observe and get the results on their own.

LIST OF ACTIVITIES

  • Video Analysis (Class 4 & 5)

In this activity students were supposed to watch a video related to a specific scientific phenomenon, process, or experiment. By carefully observing the video and analyzing its content, they were able to make accurate observations, draw conclusions, and connect theoretical knowledge to real-world situations.

  •  Mysterious Science Experiments(Class 4 & 5)

A series of mysterious  science experiments were given to the students.Students performed these experiments in groups and recorded their observations and explained the science behind it.

 

  • Upcycled Art ( Class 3)

Here students were supposed to combine their  creativity and environmental awareness and transform recyclable materials into artistic masterpieces. This activity encourages discussions about sustainability and the importance of reducing waste.

  • Science Exhibition (Class 3.4 &5)

Students presented their models and demonstrated their experiments.
