TAGORE HOUSE PRESENTS INTER-HOUSE SPELL BEE COMPETITION
Talent is a bud that blooms into a fruitful future if it is nourished with unmatched hard work and adequate exposure. As the cream is churned to extract butter, similarly talent can be churned at a very initial stage of learning to obtain the genius out of a person. We BVMites we keep on organizing various activities to hone and accelerate the talent of our young erudites. Keeping this in view, the Tagore house organized a Spell Bee competition on 31st July, 2018 for classes VI to X. As the name suggests, Spell Bee was an exhilarating competition with a panorama of interesting and fun filled rounds for our erudites.
The Tagore House organized a medley of Spell Bee rounds that paved way to a successful Competition. In the first round of Spell bee, participants had to spell the difficult words. Next round was the idiom round in which a slide, containing the picture of an idiom was shown to the participants and they were supposed to guess the correct idiom. Third round was the antonym round in which students were asked the antonyms of different words. Next and final round was the rapid fire round in which the participants had to spell various words in a limited time period. This way, various words were added to their active vocabulary. The first position was backed by Aryabhatta House and the Tagore House was the runner up. The active participation of the enthusiastic audience was praiseworthy. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the competition had been truly inspiring, informative and entertaining one.
